The past few weeks, I’ve been leaving CVS saying, “What did I just get? A bunch of nothing.”
Oh, it’s not like I’m complaining about having enough toothpaste to last me through the next few decades, but there hasn’t been too much that has actually thrilled me.
Until today.
I got:
2 Newspapers — $3.00
Natural Dentist Mouth Rinse — $6.99 [[$2 printable]] = $4.99
Natural Dentist Mouth Rinse — $6.99 [[$2 printable]] = $4.99
Easter basket — $1.99
Easter basket — $1.99
Easter grass — 79 cents
Easter grass — 79 cents
Skintimate shave gel — $3.49
Colgate toothpaste — $2.99 [[$.50 manu. coupon]] = $2.49
Cover girl mascara — $7 [[$1 manu. coupon]] = $6
Cover girl foundation — $13 [[$4 manu. coupon]] = $9
Crock Pot — $6.25 [[reduced from $24.99]]
Total before coupons: $55.27
Total manu. coupons: $9.50; Total CVS coupons: $10 [[I had a $10/$20 cosmetics CRT]]
Total after coupons: $35.77
I got back $8 for the Natural Dentist; $3.98 for the Easter baskets; $1.58 for the Easter grass; $3.49 for the Skintimate; $2 for the Colgate; $10 for the Cover Girl; and I’ll get back $10 from a rebate for the Natural Dentist = $39.05
So, in the end, I made $3.28 — and I got a Crock Pot. Thanks CVS.

So what are you cooking in this crock pot & when?
Maybe some Cajun Pecans — http://southernfood.about.com/od/nutsnacks/r/bl100c6.htm — or Chicken With Chipotle Marmalade Sauce — http://southernfood.about.com/od/crockpotchicken/r/r80127g.htm — but the whole “when” is still up in the air.
Awesome shopping and catchy title! Oh, the siren song of a clearanced crock-pot. Sigh.
