Striking Out Cancer

I’m a big support of donations. Can use the Easter baskets and grass that’s on sale at CVS this week? Buy them anyway and donate them to your local church or women’s shelter. It feels great to donate — and you won’t lose any karma points even though you’re technically donating thanks to ecb, not to your own hard-earned money [[although, I might argue that earning ecb is harder than real money]].

In any case, if you have an extra dollar to spare, head over to Stop & Shop. For a buck donation to the Memorial Sloat-Kettering Cancer Center, you’ll get a scratch off. You can win cash, gift cards, or free items. The booby prize, so to speak, is a $1 product coupon.

That’s what I won. One dollar off Chi Chi’s Salsa Snackers. According to Chi Chi’s Web site, that product doesn’t even exist, so Stop & Shop might be pulling a fast one on me.

They do exist. I buy them at Meijer.
They are single serving cups of salsa or nacho cheese sauce that typically cost about $2.49, so a $1/1 coupon is really good!

Hey Lori! It’s good to know that this is a real product. I was a little skeptical, I’m not gonna lie. How do they taste?

Sometimes certain Stop and Shops don’t sell the certain size or product but the store will some how honor it. And it is not always $1.00 off an item sometimes its free items AND sometimes that item is MORE than $1.00 :)

You always win an item and can win up to $10,000 ! ! ! My store today had 3 gift card winners :)

OH and if your in a stop and shop and you really have the extra $1.00 and the cashier asked you to purchase one.. DO IT! As a cashier at stop and shop the cashiers get prizes for the amount of Triple Winners they sell..

I got another today. This time, I got free Pepperidge Farms turnovers, so that was exciting.

    Hi Lisa,
They taste just like regular Chi Chi’s salsa except in a convenient serving cup that is great for lunchboxes and brownbaggers alike!

Hey Lori! I finally found them on Wegmans’ Web site thanks to your comment. Now I know what to look for. They look really convenient — and thank goodness they’re a pack of four. I was worried it was only ONE cup for that price =]

Awesome! They are so convenient and mighty tasty!
I’m glad you found them. They are definitely worth trying especially if you have the coupon.
